Icons of Wellington

Wellington Conference Tours

The Icons of Wellington Tour captures the best of the Wellington region in a single day. Suitable for groups from 4 to 200. You will experience three of the key elements that make Wellington unique: The Wine industry famous for its boutique pinot noir production; the Film industry – Wellington was production central for the making of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Capital - the seat of parliament and the quirky architecture of the Beehive.

Wellington is the heart of the New Zealand film industry and home to Peter Jackson. You will see the first location used in the filming of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and the beautiful scenery that made Middle-earth.

The government of New Zealand sits in Wellington’s parliament buildings and works from the Beehive along side. See these historic places in the district of Thorndon.

You will travel through the Rimutaka mountain range to Martinborough, Wellington’s wine making region. Local cuisine is served at lunch at the Village Café. Visit a world renowned vineyard and taste gold medal wines.
